Middle School Principal

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative responsibility and instructional leadership for the planning, operation, and evaluation of the educational program.
• Establish instructional goals and objectives in accordance with school policy and district educational philosophy.
• Develop organizational patterns to adapt curriculum to individual student needs and ensure accreditation standards are met.
• Manage campus operations, including budget, personnel, and the maintenance of school facilities and property.
• Supervise and evaluate teaching staff, assistant principals, and all other professional and nonprofessional school staff.
• Promote professional growth of faculty through in-service planning and coordination.
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, registration, and standardized testing schedules.
• Foster positive relationships with parents, students, and the community to support educational programs and student achievement.
• Oversee extracurricular activities, athletic programs, and physical education eligibility.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree.
• Principal, Principal as Instructional Leader, or Mid-Management Certificate.
• T-TESS (Texas Teacher Evaluation Support System) and T-PESS (Texas Principal Evaluation Support System) certification.
• AEL (Advancing Educational Leadership) or ILD (Instructional Leadership Development) certificate.
• Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience as an Assistant Principal or District Coordinator.
• Working knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and the ability to evaluate teaching effectiveness.
• Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
