Middle School Mathematics Teacher

Responsibilities

• Teach a full-time load of five classes and guide a student advisory group
• Implement differentiated instruction and assessment to meet diverse student needs
• Maintain accurate grades using Standards-Based Grading and provide constructive feedback to families
• Utilize a wide range of assessment strategies and learning technologies to enhance lessons
• Create a safe, respectful learning environment that fosters a global mindset and intellectual risk-taking
• Manage classroom behavior using fair, consistent standards and clearly articulated expectations
• Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, school committees, and school-wide events
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the school's mission and inclusive community goals

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a related field
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in a high-performing school environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum and instruction within the mathematics content area
• Highly developed written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, including lesson planning, unit implementation, and assessment design
• Proven ability to mentor and coach students as an achievement advocate
• Commitment to the school’s mission, core values, and anti-bias/anti-racism work

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Math program
