Middle School ICT Teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional services to students with IEPs in reading, mathematics, and writing
• Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the student’s IEP
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students
• Communicate and conference with parents regarding student progress
• Manage and support an organized, professional classroom conducive to learning
• Support student preparation for the NYS State Exam
• Collaborate with peers and administration to develop multifaceted, integrated curriculum
• Lead classroom differentiation through curricular modifications and instructional techniques
• Assess and develop goals for the IEP process
• Implement IEP goals and strategies into an integrated classroom
• Maintain accurate records related to student achievement and IEP goals
• Attend IEP meetings and parent conferences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Legal authorization to work in the USA
• Commitment to high academic standards for all students
• Commitment to professional growth and self-reflection

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• K-12 lead teaching experience in a classroom setting
• Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools
• NY teacher certification or progress towards certification
