Mid-Market Customer Success Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a named book of mid-market accounts in Japan to drive adoption, retention, and expansion
• Lead customer discovery, AI workshops, and hands-on working sessions to build effective workflows
• Own renewal readiness by translating customer outcomes and value into renewal plans
• Partner with Account Executives on growth strategy and identify expansion opportunities
• Build customer success plans and contribute to scalable CS playbooks and processes
• Share customer insights with product and cross-functional teams to improve the customer experience

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Customer Success or Account Management
• Experience managing the full customer journey from adoption through renewal
• Strong discovery skills and the ability to connect customer challenges to solutions
• Comfort with technical concepts and implementing AI-enabled workflows
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English
• Ability to communicate value to senior stakeholders and work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a technical product and commercial models such as seats or usage
• Familiarity with Notion as a power user or prior customer
• Experience at a fast-growing startup or in an early-hire environment
