About the role
Responsibilities
- Represent Block to Mid-Market Merchants as a thought-leader in the payments landscape
- Manage negotiations for expansions and renewals through methodical deal management
- Develop data-driven portfolio plans to maximize growth for Block and partners
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Legal
- Advocate for merchant feedback and market sentiment internally across the organization
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in account management, business development, sales, or strategy
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth in high-growth environments
- Strong executive presence with ability to influence C-suite stakeholders
- Familiarity with product development processes, preferably in payments
- Analytical rigor and expertise in commercial contracts and financial models
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-changing environments
