Mid-Level Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop state-of-the-art satellite systems for commercial, civil, and national security space-based applications.
• Work collaboratively across subsystems to plan, design, develop, and verify complex spacecraft systems across the lifecycle.
• Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure compatibility of all interfaces.
• Perform analyses to optimize system architecture and participate in the identification and resolution of cross-functional technical issues.
• Lead or participate in system-level trades involving technical, cost, and schedule aspects.
• Utilize model-based systems engineering infrastructures (e.g., DOORS, CAMEO) to allocate and derive performance requirements.
• Participate in key engineering lifecycle events including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Experience with systems engineering fundamentals and product life cycle events (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
• Ability to work onsite in El Segundo, CA.
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person status).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in satellite system design, development, or testing.
• Proven experience working with customers, program offices, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 5 or more years of related work experience.
