About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the Discipline Lead for multi-discipline project teams, managing the structural design portion of projects.
- Lead the production effort for small to large projects, overseeing quality, budget, and schedule from conceptual design through construction.
- Design structural systems and components for commercial and industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with recognized codes and standards.
- Perform structural engineering tasks including analysis, design, detailing, and the writing of technical reports.
- Collaborate with mechanical, process, electrical, architectural, and civil disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
- Establish project scope, structural budgets, and design approaches.
- Conduct site visits to collect data and observe construction progress.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and marketing materials by defining project scopes and past project activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and timber design.
- Familiarity with industry codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, RISA 3D, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment.
