Mid-Level Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the Discipline Lead for multi-discipline project teams, managing the structural design portion of projects.
• Lead the production effort for small to large projects, overseeing quality, budget, and schedule from conceptual design through construction.
• Design structural systems and components for commercial and industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with recognized codes and standards.
• Perform structural engineering tasks including analysis, design, detailing, and the writing of technical reports.
• Collaborate with mechanical, process, electrical, architectural, and civil disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Establish project scope, structural budgets, and design approaches.
• Conduct site visits to collect data and observe construction progress.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and marketing materials by defining project scopes and past project activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and timber design.
• Familiarity with industry codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, RISA 3D, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment.
