Mid Level Software Engineer–Simulation

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain simulation software within the virtual simulation toolset to support Operator-in-the-Loop (OITL) experiments
• Model platforms, sensors, emitters, weapons, communications, and tactical systems to meet customer needs
• Collaborate with Boeing teams and cleared external partners to build and operate large federated simulations
• Define requirements, author software designs and test plans, and troubleshoot experimental systems
• Support contractual R&D by translating classified operational needs into executable simulation capabilities

Requirements

• Active Top Secret U.S. security clearance
• Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearances
• Bachelor's degree
• 3 years of experience with Linux development environments
• 3 years of experience with C++ development
• 3 years of experience with version control systems (Git or Subversion)
• Experience with Agile SDLC

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Operator-in-the-Loop or Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) experience
• Python scripting and automation skills
• Experience managing multiple projects and working across cleared teams
• Bachelor of Science in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field
