About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of propulsion and fuel system changes with other airplane systems to support product improvements.
  • Maintain design oversight for supplier-provided fuel system components, including reviewing drawings and engineering change proposals.
  • Engage with suppliers to plan and execute qualification testing and manage design modifications.
  • Provide on-site factory and delivery support in North Charleston, troubleshooting fuel system issues on the production line.
  • Investigate and resolve fleet, production, and supplier issues such as non-conformances and engineering liaison requests.
  • Coordinate across internal departments including Flight Test, Structures, and Production to meet aircraft delivery milestones.
  • Develop and publish test plans, procedures, and reports using analysis of certification and production data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to understand complex problems.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience specifically in Propulsion Engineering.
  • Knowledge of airplane fuel systems, architecture, safety, and certification processes.
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects and within the COSP process.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as ENOVIA, CATIA, or REDARS.
  • Experience establishing RCCAs, BPSMs, fault trees, or cause maps.
  • Understanding of large transport category aircraft certification (CFR 25.981 or 25.1309).
