About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care for WSU students, including general medicine, sports medicine, and acute care.
  • Manage mental health, sexual health, reproductive medicine, and infectious diseases.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures and dermatological treatments.
  • Educate patients on family planning, sexual health, and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to support student well-being.
  • Support Cougar Health Services through non-clinical tasks as requested.

Requirements

  • Current Washington State Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license at the time of hire.
  • Valid prescriptive authority at the time of hire.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a primary care setting.
  • Ability to obtain National Certification within one year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) with a primary care specialty.
  • Four or more years of relevant clinical experience in a primary care setting.
  • Previous experience working in a college health care environment.
  • Proficiency or training in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
