Mid-Level Manufacturing Technology Analyst (Weld Specialist)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations and execution of orbital tube weld applications and associated equipment
• Resolve complex technical problems related to manufacturing and welding processes
• Organize technical aspects of manufacturing development and author new fabrication principles
• Develop advanced manufacturing solutions and conduct research for new product opportunities
• Consult on lean principles and technologies for enterprise-wide initiatives
• Document and communicate producibility best practices and identify training needs
• Work on the factory floor throughout all stages of production to ensure successful build of core stage assemblies

Requirements

• 10 or more years of related work experience
• 5+ years of experience in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
• Ability to travel 10% of the time
• Must meet US Person export control compliance requirements
• Ability to obtain access to a NASA facility
• Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift on a rotational basis as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience specifically with orbital tube welding
