Mid-Level Ground Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide ground test engineering expertise to cruise missile weapon system development
• Support the planning, development, and execution of ground, integration, and system-level test activities
• Develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans aligned with program objectives and mission requirements
• Track program and system level readiness for operational testing
• Evaluate labs and facilities to meet Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), Software-in-the-loop (SWIL), performance, environmental, and cybersecurity test requirements
• Coordinate and provide input to the Weapon System Test Schedule
• Collaborate with government stakeholders, prime contractors, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure test objectives are met
• Assist in identifying system and sub-system level limitations to mitigate risk during developmental testing

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science
• 5+ years of related engineering experience
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Knowledge of missile HWIL and SWIL testing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in engineering
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Experience with NNSA and CNWDI programs
• Experience testing at various ranges including China Lake, Point Mugu, Eglin, White Sands, or Reagan Test Site
• Experience serving as a Test Director or performing on-console operations
• Experience with nuclear weapon system testing and sub-launched weapon systems
