Microsoft 365 Data Security & Compliance Consultant

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions including Information Protection, DLP, and Records Management.
• Conduct discovery workshops with legal, privacy, and IT stakeholders to develop target-state data governance designs.
• Implement enterprise data classification frameworks using Sensitivity Labels, auto-labeling, and encryption.
• Configure Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across Microsoft 365 workloads, endpoints, and cloud environments.
• Deploy retention policies, disposition reviews, legal holds, and regulatory retention capabilities.
• Set up Insider Risk Management, Communication Compliance, eDiscovery (Standard and Premium), and Audit solutions.
• Own the complete deployment lifecycle from initial assessment through production deployment and operational handover.
• Develop technical documentation, including configuration baselines, policy templates, and operational runbooks.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating regulatory requirements into technical Microsoft Purview solutions.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Proven expertise in Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Records Management.
• Experience configuring Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, and Audit solutions.
• Ability to implement data classification frameworks using Sensitivity Labels and encryption.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, including retention and archival policies.
• Excellent English communication skills for client advisory and stakeholder collaboration.
