About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3–4 system administration and engineering for Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams.
- Manage hybrid configuration, mail flow architecture, and SMTP relay governance for business-critical systems.
- Administer SharePoint and OneDrive site provisioning, governance, permission management, and file share migrations.
- Oversee Microsoft Teams tenant policies, governance, and app ecosystem compliance.
- Perform security patching, hardening, and manage Entra ID role assignments (PIM/JIT) and RBAC.
- Support Microsoft Purview compliance functions, including eDiscovery, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and retention policies.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, and health monitoring across all M365 workloads.
- Monitor Microsoft Message Center for roadmap changes and coordinate feature rollouts with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience (E5 or above) or 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience administering Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, or OneDrive).
- Demonstrated proficiency in PowerShell scripting for M365 automation and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) identity management and RBAC.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed, including participating in an on-call rotation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Purview compliance tools, multi-geo M365 configurations, and email security gateways.
- Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or Teams/SharePoint Administrator Associate.
- Experience using ServiceNow for incident and change management.
