Microbiology Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform microbial and chemical analysis of plant water and air
• Perform microbial load testing on various products
• Prepare biological indicators for sterilization
• Prepare and maintain laboratory media and solutions
• Execute routine laboratory procedures including endotoxin, environmental viable and particulate testing, and bioburdens
• Operate laboratory equipment and read microbial plates
• Trend data for environmentals, water, and bioburdens
• Execute validation protocols to support sterilization and manufacturing expansion
• Assist in writing and revising lab procedures and non-conformances

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Compliance with quality systems, safety regulations, and policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Biology or a science-related field
• 2 years of laboratory experience
