Microbiology Technician

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute sampling for water, compressed air, environment, and other utilities according to SOP regulations
• Perform microbial testing on raw materials, packaging, water, semi-finished products, and finished products
• Monitor and report trends in water, environmental, and compressed air systems
• Operate and maintain microbiology laboratory equipment
• Prepare chemicals and culture media for laboratory use
• Record and document all microbial testing results, formats, and reports
• Participate in the drafting of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Support the calibration of analytical equipment and perform cross-checks of analytical documentation and logbooks
• Manage chemical and standard inventory reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology or a related scientific field
• At least 1 year of experience working in a microbiology laboratory setting
• Ability to perform continuous standing for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day)
