Microbiology Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform scientific testing to high quality standards as allocated by the Shift Supervisor
• Adhere to quality systems including calibration checks, internal quality controls, and daily checks
• Maintain tidy and organized laboratory areas
• Ensure all operations comply with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding customer information
• Report any doubtful or invalid results to the Shift Supervisor immediately

Requirements

• Third level qualification in Science or a related discipline
• Proficiency in PC applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word
• Analytical and logical approach with a keen eye for detail
• Strong interest in food science and food safety
• Ability to thrive under pressure and work effectively within a fast-paced team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in laboratory testing is a distinct advantage but not essential
