Microbiology Lab Adjunct Instructor

Responsibilities

• Instruct microbiology lab courses in traditional in-person formats, including daytime and evening hours
• Prepare, set up, and deliver lab instruction in alignment with approved course outlines
• Collaborate with course lead faculty and laboratory technicians regarding equipment, supplies, and setup guidelines
• Provide academic support and guidance to students to enhance learning and success
• Utilize the College’s learning management system (Canvas) to manage course content, attendance, and grades
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote continuous improvement
• Maintain accurate and current records of student progress and submit final grades by established deadlines
• Contribute to syllabi development and provide end-of-term course assessment data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a combination of education, training, and/or tested experience
• Strong understanding of laboratory skills and safety protocols
• Ability to interact positively with students and colleagues
• Appreciation for and understanding of the Community College mission

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience
