Microbiology Associate I

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiology assays and method qualifications to support routine water testing, in-process, and final product testing
• Conduct microbiology assays including TOC, conductivity, bioburden, endotoxin, and growth promotion
• Compile, analyze, and document test data and results for management review
• Perform raw material release testing and review routine water data
• Initiate routine investigation reports, out of specification (OOS) reports, and deviations
• Maintain laboratory areas according to 6S principles, including cleaning of benches, biosafety cabinets, and shelving
• Assist in the revision of current cGMP and SOP guidelines

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a cGMP or laboratory environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with aseptic techniques, troubleshooting, and data entry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow detailed directions and perform testing in a highly accurate manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline
