Microbiology Analyst - Level 1

Responsibilities

• Perform various microbiological tests and analyses on samples using standard laboratory techniques
• Prepare culture media, reagents, and other materials required for microbiological testing
• Perform microbiological tests for finished products and raw materials including MLT, Bioburden, Endotoxin testing, Antibiotic Potency Assay, AET, Sterility Testing and Disinfectant Studies
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory activities and test results
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality
• Assist in the development and optimization of microbiological testing methods
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
• Adhere to all safety protocols and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines
• Participate in data analysis and interpretation of test results
• Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in microbiology or a related field
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques and microscopy
• Experience with autoclave, incubator, water bath, biohazard hood, filtration apparatus, balance, and pH meter
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Understanding of quality control procedures in microbiology
