Microbiology Analyst I

Responsibilities

• Perform GMP testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products, stability samples, and non-routine analyses
• Conduct microbial identification related to product and environmental testing
• Execute method validation protocols and author summary reports
• Maintain accurate records in both paper-based and computer-based systems
• Author deviation reports and microbiological assessment reports
• Monitor and evaluate QC systems and equipment, including water systems and environmental chambers
• Perform sampling of raw materials as required for quality control testing
• Ensure laboratory compliance with cGMP standards and assist with inspections

Requirements

• BS in Microbiology or equivalent relevant experience
• Working knowledge of cGMP and GLP regulations
• Proficiency in following written SOPs and specific technical instructions
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or FDA-regulated industry
• Hands-on experience with endotoxin testing, sterility, bioburden, and growth promotion testing
• Experience with environmental monitoring and method validation
