About the role
Responsibilities
- Handle samples and perform analyses according to Operating Procedures and test methodology
- Maintain and verify laboratory equipment
- Report deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor
- Maintain records of all quality activities as documented in Operating Procedures and test methods
- Identify and record nonconformities on Corrective Action Requests
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field or commercial laboratory experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- Experience with LIMS system
- Basic mathematical and reasoning skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with food pathogen detection technologies such as VIDAS, BAX, GDS, GeneUp, or BioRad
- Experience with VITEK Microbial Identification System
