About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare media and reagents required for microbiological analyses
- Conduct analyses of samples in accordance with USP, EP, ASTM, AOAC, FDA, EPA, or other compendia procedures
- Schedule analyses to meet completion deadlines
- Practice aseptic techniques and disinfection per laboratory SOPs
- Maintain accurate and timely recordkeeping following standards for analysis and SOPs
- Perform quality assurance tasks including lab area monitoring, media qualification, and equipment calibration
- Document data in notebooks and LIMS in accordance with cGMP
- Maintain an orderly work area
Requirements
- BS degree in Microbiology or related sciences
- 1-2 years of previous sterility experience
- Experience utilizing instruments such as autoclave, incubator, water bath, biohazard hood, filtration apparatus, balance, and pH meter
