Microbiologist I

Responsibilities

• Prepare media and reagents required for microbiological analyses
• Conduct analyses of samples in accordance with USP, EP, ASTM, AOAC, FDA, EPA, or other compendia procedures
• Schedule analyses to meet completion deadlines
• Practice aseptic techniques and disinfection per laboratory SOPs
• Maintain accurate and timely recordkeeping following standards for analysis and SOPs
• Perform quality assurance tasks including lab area monitoring, media qualification, and equipment calibration
• Document data in notebooks and LIMS in accordance with cGMP
• Maintain an orderly work area

Requirements

• BS degree in Microbiology or related sciences
• 1-2 years of previous sterility experience
• Experience utilizing instruments such as autoclave, incubator, water bath, biohazard hood, filtration apparatus, balance, and pH meter
