About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engineering focal for calibration-related activities across production, labs, quality, and engineering
- Design and evaluate calibration system hardware, software, and workflows to meet program requirements
- Apply analytical tools and uncertainty methods to verify calibration process capability
- Analyze measurement data and support root-cause investigations for out-of-tolerance conditions
- Develop and improve calibration procedures, specifications, and documentation
- Drive continuous-improvement projects to reduce cycle time and increase test-system reliability
- Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-site project planning and technical integration with other engineering business units
Requirements
- US Person status required (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field
- 2+ years of hands-on engineering experience with measurement or test equipment and instrumentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft and project management applications
- Experience working in a team environment with clear communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct experience in metrology or calibration/certification (ISO 17025, ANSI Z540, gage R&R)
- Experience with multiple parameter families such as torque, pressure, force, mass, or electrical
- Ability to read engineering drawings and translate them into practical measurement set-ups
- Demonstrated success leading process-improvement activities (Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile)
- Experience with instrumentation tools such as CMMs, optical comparators, or data-acquisition rigs
