About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional inspections of aerospace parts, assemblies, and tooling using Tri-Dimensional Metrology (TDM) equipment.
  • Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), laser trackers, portable arms, scanners, and other precision measurement systems.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, specifications, and inspection plans.
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment, and conformity of manufactured components.
  • Generate and maintain inspection reports, measurement records, and quality documentation.
  • Investigate dimensional discrepancies and support root cause analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
  • Support first article inspections (FAI), process validations, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and maintain calibration of metrology equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tri-Dimensional Metrology (TDM), dimensional inspection, or aerospace quality inspection.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Experience working in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or precision engineering environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Aerospace manufacturing and assembly.
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9100 quality systems.
  • Proficiency with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), laser tracking, and 3D scanning technologies.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
