Metrology Technician II

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and certify electronic and physical/dimensional measuring and test equipment to technical specifications
• Maintain traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
• Perform equipment repairs and calibrate standards used in calibrations
• Use hand tools, standard machine tools, and common laboratory measuring and test equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment in conjunction with design modification functions
• Provide guidance to customers and operators regarding equipment operation
• Write technical reports, work instructions, and test evaluation reports
• Maintain records of test data and ensure compliance with HS&E safety requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma with 2+ years of experience in the field, OR an Associate's degree in engineering technology with 2 years of experience
• Formal military PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school training with proof of attendance
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to client requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, or Met/Cal
• Proficiency in Microsoft technology, including Excel
• Experience with electrical calibration
• Experience with physical or dimensional calibration
• Previous customer service experience
