Metrology Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled qualification, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair for laboratory instrumentation
• Install and qualify new equipment and coordinate vendor installations when necessary
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues, diagnose root causes, and perform repairs to minimize downtime
• Maintain lifecycle documentation, calibration records, and audit-ready equipment files in accordance with procedures
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs, risk assessments, and inventory records for spare parts
• Support software validation activities in collaboration with vendors and IT teams

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in electronics, mechanical technology, or a closely related field
• 1+ years of experience working with liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) equipment
• Experience working in a regulated environment such as GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) or GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
• Hands-on experience in the calibration and repair of measuring and test equipment
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a laboratory setting
