About the role
Responsibilities
- Calibrate RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detector) and thermocouples using primary or secondary reference standards
- Test continuity, resistance, voltage, and current verification for sensor output
- Perform resistance testing, insulation resistance (IR) testing, and dielectric testing
- Support the Metrology ISO/IEC 17025 program to ensure operational and documentation requirements are met
- Schedule and coordinate calibration activities with manufacturing, engineering, and lab personnel
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation as required
- Maintain quality of products, processes, and documentation following the Curtiss-Wright Quality Management System
- Maintain detailed records and logs for department record keeping
- Support preventive maintenance programs and a 5S work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of manufacturing experience or specialized training in a related position
- 20/20 visual acuity for close visual work (corrected vision is acceptable)
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong English writing skills for preparing calibration reports and documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- High-level knowledge of milliamps, voltage, and resistance circuit behavior
- Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and AMS 2750 standards
- Proficiency in advanced mathematical concepts including trigonometry and algebra
- Experience with dimensional inspection requirements
