Metrology Lab Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all aspects of Metrology operations and work groups
• Develop unit objectives, work plans, schedules, and resource allocations
• Manage administrative functions including budgeting and cost/benefit analysis
• Supervise staff to ensure productivity and adherence to quality, time, and budget standards
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and conduct performance evaluations for new team members
• Drive continuous process improvement and implement changes in work procedures
• Maintain frequent customer interaction to address operational concerns
• Support business development efforts across commercial and government sectors

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Undergraduate degree or applicable technical training and certifications
• 3+ years of operational experience specific to metrology or related needs
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate staff
• Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Metrology with increasing levels of responsibility
• TMDE/PMEL training or equivalent
• Working knowledge of ISO17025 calibration environments
• Proficiency in applying standard theories, principles, and techniques in Metrology
