About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, and upgrades on wafer fabrication metrology equipment, including AFM, CDSEM, 4-point probe, and defect inspection tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and manage consumable changes.
- Complete technical documentation and provide training to others on equipment maintenance procedures.
- Interface with Operations and Engineering personnel to ensure safety, performance, and reliability requirements are met.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically within the Metrology or Defect area.
- Solid understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and FDC (Fault Detection and Classification).
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours) and work in confined spaces.
- Physical ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AS or AAS degree in electronics, industrial engineering, or a related technical discipline.
