Metrology Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify new automated video inspection programs
• Maintain the integrity and operation of global automated video inspection programs
• Perform R&D inspections and support customer or new product testing
• Provide input on the design of inspection tooling and fixtures
• Generate capability and Gage R&R reports
• Provide technical support for automated video inspection programs on the manufacturing floor
• Collaborate with engineering teams on metrology and print details

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment programming automated video equipment, CMM, or other measurement equipment
• Proven experience in inspection and testing
• Proficiency with 3D software and analytical tools
• Ability to interpret collected data and communicate findings effectively
• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred (relevant experience may be substituted for education)
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python or Java programming
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Minitab, or JMP
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Samtec systems and product offerings
• Willingness to travel to domestic and global facilities, vendors, and training centers
