About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a global team to develop standard measurement platforms and processes.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure proper GD&T application and capture design intent.
- Support New Product Development through sample measurements, reverse engineering, and supplier capability evaluations.
- Document and edit metrology lab programs using software such as CALYPSO, Polyworks, or PC-DMIS.
- Develop turnkey inspection strategies and design holding fixtures and gages to minimize measurement error.
- Use statistical analysis and R&R studies to ensure accurate and repeatable measurement strategies.
- Interpret engineering drawings featuring GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to identify inspection requirements.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in engineering, design, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with measurement equipment including CMMs, Vision systems, or 3D scanning.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, for collaborating with engineering teams and suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab.
- Multilingual capabilities in Spanish, Mandarin, or Vietnamese.
