About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a global team to develop standard measurement platforms and processes.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure proper GD&T application and capture design intent.
  • Support New Product Development through sample measurements, reverse engineering, and supplier capability evaluations.
  • Document and edit metrology lab programs using software such as CALYPSO, Polyworks, or PC-DMIS.
  • Develop turnkey inspection strategies and design holding fixtures and gages to minimize measurement error.
  • Use statistical analysis and R&R studies to ensure accurate and repeatable measurement strategies.
  • Interpret engineering drawings featuring GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to identify inspection requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in engineering, design, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with measurement equipment including CMMs, Vision systems, or 3D scanning.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, for collaborating with engineering teams and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab.
  • Multilingual capabilities in Spanish, Mandarin, or Vietnamese.
