About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide measurement engineering support and programming for various equipment, including interferometers, spectrophotometers, and Raman measurement systems.
  • Represent the Metrology Department in meetings to resolve product specification versus measurement capability issues.
  • Lead projects to improve the capacity, capability, or cost of current measurement equipment or oversee the installation of new systems.
  • Write, audit, and maintain process documentation and experiment plans/reports.
  • Attend Process Engineering and Production-related meetings to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optics, Optical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering, metrology, or optics position.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically the ability to build queries and complex spreadsheets in Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C#, Python, .NET, or SQL.
  • US Citizenship is required for this position.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and complex problem-solving skills.
