About the role

Responsibilities

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend metrology hardware, inspection software, automation tools, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Design and implement software-based solutions to improve metrology data flow, reporting speed, and integration with enterprise systems.
  • Develop scripts, automated workflows, low-code solutions, and dashboards for data extraction, transformation, and performance tracking.
  • Serve as the primary technical link between Metrology Engineering and IT for system integrations, database connectivity, and digital infrastructure.
  • Lead feasibility studies, implementation planning, testing, and change management for new metrology applications.
  • Drive standardization of metrology software workflows, data storage methods, and digital lifecycle control.
  • Collaborate with global teams to build repeatable, scalable solutions for laboratories and manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in metrology, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or data automation.
  • Exposure to metrology or inspection systems such as CMMs, vision systems, optical scanners, or laser scanners.
  • Hands-on experience with data handling, scripting, programming, or dashboard development in a technical environment.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Python, VBA, SQL, Excel automation, SharePoint, Power BI, or Power Automate.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical workflows into clear business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with metrology software such as PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, Zeiss Inspect, or Calypso.
  • Experience integrating data across lab systems, quality systems, and cloud services via APIs.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled tools, agents, or bots to engineering and manufacturing workflows.
  • Knowledge of CAD-based inspection, GD&T interpretation, and measurement validation (MSA, Gage R&R).
