About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate cabinet X-ray and industrial 3D CT scanning equipment for non-destructive testing
- Set up and adjust X-ray system parameters including tube settings and detector configurations
- Design and build custom fixtures to secure test samples for 360-degree scanning
- Process scan data using reconstruction software to generate 3D volumetric models
- Inspect materials for cracks, voids, porosity, and fiber orientation
- Perform dimensional inspections by comparing scan results to engineering drawings and CAD models
- Document test results and prepare technical reports for engineering and manufacturing teams
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance including calibrations and radiation safety checks
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing assembly or quality inspection
- Experience with metrology tools such as CTs, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs
- Experience with test equipment like tensile testers, ultrasonic testers, and physical property characterization equipment
- Experience auditing to industry standards such as ISO 9001, NADCAP, ASTM, or IPC standards
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
