Responsibilities

• Write CMM programs using specialized software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or MCOSMOS from 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
• Set up and calibrate CMM probes, fixtures, and standard metrology equipment
• Operate CMM machines to measure precise dimensional and geometric characteristics of components
• Perform measurements, tests, inspections, and audits to support Product Control Plans and input results into the Quality Management System
• Provide feedback on quality procedures and tools to achieve continuous improvement
• Maintain clean, organized inspection environments in the receiving area, metrology lab, and production floor
• Identify and flag changes or concerning variations in processes and materials
• Champion safety in all aspects of work

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing assembly or quality inspection
• Experience using industry standard metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, microscopes, multimeters, CMMs, optical comparators)
• Experience using test equipment (tensile testers, wire harness testers, ultrasonic testers, physical property characterization equipment)
• Experience working and auditing to industry standards such as ISO 9001, NADCAP, ASTM, or IPC 610/620/J-STD-001
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
