Metrology Calibration Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and adjust measurement devices against established standards to verify accuracy
• Conduct routine inspections and use specialized diagnostic tools and calibration software to identify faults
• Perform preventive maintenance, disassembly, cleaning, and repairs on faulty testing equipment
• Maintain accurate calibration records and reports in compliance with ISO, NIST, and GMP standards
• Perform measurements, tests, inspections, and audits to support Product Control Plans
• Input quality data into the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Provide feedback on quality procedures and tools for continuous improvement
• Maintain clean and organized inspection environments in the metrology lab and production floor
• Champion safety and flag process or material variations

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing assembly or quality inspection
• Experience with metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, microscopes, multimeters, and CMMs
• Experience with test equipment including tensile testers, wire harness testers, and ultrasonic testers
• Experience auditing to industry standards like ISO 9001, NADCAP, ASTM, or IPC standards
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
