MetFab Productivity Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed on-site assessments of customer fabrication processes, welding procedures, and workflow efficiency.
• Identify productivity improvements through optimized gases, consumables, welding parameters, and automation readiness.
• Lead the full sales cycle for automated capital equipment, including robotics, welding automation, CNC automation, and material handling systems.
• Deliver technical product demonstrations, performance evaluations, and competitive comparisons.
• Develop value-based proposals and ROI models that quantify cost savings, throughput gains, and quality improvements.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to design system configurations and integration plans.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to support territory strategy.

Requirements

• Associate degree in welding technology or a similar field.
• 7+ years of outside sales experience, ideally in welding, fabrication, or industrial equipment.
• Strong technical understanding of welding processes including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and SAW.
• Deep knowledge of shielding gases, consumables, and fabrication workflows.
• Proven negotiation and value-selling skills.
• High integrity and a strong commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Welding Inspector or Welding Educator certification.
