Metering Technician

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of electrical and mechanical metering equipment in commercial real estate, data centers, and power generation stations
• Identify and assemble required documentation, drawings, and data from clients and vendors
• Complete building-specific commissioning reports and submit progress reports to project engineers
• Perform physical testing of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Perform basic network programming and troubleshooting
• Take field measurements using multi-meter test instrumentation
• Respond to customer inquiries professionally

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering/technology with 1-3 years of experience, OR
• 1-5 years of experience as a service technician, controls installer, or commissioning agent
• Experience with building controls, test and balance, or building system maintenance
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls-related equipment (UPS, switchgear, generators, chillers, boilers, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
• Direct metering experience
