Meteorologist/MSJ

Responsibilities

• Monitor weather systems and deliver accurate forecasts in collaboration with the Chief Meteorologist
• Shoot, edit, and produce high-quality content for broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms
• Provide live coverage of breaking weather events with urgency and immediacy
• Research and develop original weather stories using video, images, and social media engagement
• Utilize MSJ skills to enhance weather coverage with graphics and animations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Geoscience, or Atmospheric Science
• 1 year of professional meteorology and content production experience preferred
• Strong video editing skills and ability to produce engaging multimedia content
• Proficiency in social media platforms and newsroom computer systems
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
