Metals Prep Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform Mercury sample preparation and analysis within a laboratory environment
• Follow appropriate methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner
• Operate and maintain various analytical equipment
• Interpret samples and data to solve analysis problems
• Maintain a clean, orderly work environment and adhere to all safety protocols regarding hazardous materials

Requirements

• High School Diploma and at least 8 credit hours of college-level science (or 1 year of laboratory experience)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to stand or sit for the duration of an 8-hour shift
• Capability to work in varying temperatures and distinguish differences in color and shade

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a laboratory environment
• Understanding of quality control requirements and procedures
