About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute laboratory metallurgical tests including Cu and/or Mo batch flotation, flotation kinetics, and open/closed cycle flotation
- Perform SAG Power Index (SPI), Bond Work Index (BWi), and Abrasion Index (Ai) tests
- Conduct industrial hydrodynamic parameter measurements for flotation circuits
- Perform sampling within the concentrator plant for metallurgical accounting
- Prepare briquettes for optical and electronic microscopy
- Prepare samples for X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), NIR, and IR spectroscopy
Requirements
- Metallurgical Technician or Metallurgical/Chemical Engineer (Bachelor's degree or professional title)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial sampling in concentrator plants
- Experience in mechanical sample preparation and comminution metallurgical testing
- Proficiency with mechanical preparation equipment (crushers, rotap, pulverizers, pressure filters, etc.)
- Knowledge of comminution and flotation metallurgical processes
- Valid Category A-I driver's license with at least 5 years of driving experience (or A-IIA with 2 years for internal mining permits)
- Ability to drive 4x4 vehicles within the mine site
