Metallurgical Laboratory Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Direct personnel in charge of daily operations to ensure work quality and provide administrative and technical direction
• Ensure compliance with safety, environment, health, and quality policies and standards
• Manage mineral processing balances and applied statistics
• Program and distribute work to staff based on client priorities
• Supervise and execute metallurgical tests including Copper & Molybdenum flotation, Bond Work Index, and sedimentation tests
• Perform particle size analysis and reagent evaluation
• Plan and conduct sampling in Concentrator Plants (grinding, flotation, and crushing circuits)
• Identify and report accidents, incidents, and substandard conditions

Requirements

• Professional degree and active membership in the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles
• Driver's license (category A1 or higher)
• Knowledge of sampling and metallurgical testing
• Experience in process control (crushing, grinding, flotation, thickening, and filtration)
• Experience in developing metallurgical balances for grinding and flotation
