Metal Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage paint line standard processes and report on any abnormalities
• Act as the primary contact for communication regarding schedule deviations
• Balance work content across team members to ensure efficient productivity
• Perform and assist in developing Work Instructions for various processes
• Conduct SPC/Quality checks using measuring tools and react to specification data
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment following 5S principles
• Read and interpret routings, drawings, and Bills of Material (BOM)
• Train team members and assist in developing training tools
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and MKPS initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Experience reading dimensional production drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in using information system computer databases
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and tape measures
• Competency in basic math skills (counting, adding, subtracting)
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced math skills related to geometric dimensional tolerances (GDT)
• Previous OEM training on specific manufacturing equipment
