About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical problems in manufacturing operations
- Design and modify electrical control circuits and programs
- Perform engineering tasks on robotic systems using specialized software and hardware
- Lead technical problem solving and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot Industrial Vision Systems such as Keyence, PhotoNeo, and Matrox
- Support existing production through equipment malfunction diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Implement new technologies to improve manufacturing processes and support throughput improvement initiatives
- Oversee project installations by contractors and plant electricians
- Develop and plan electrical projects with a high degree of autonomy
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of Industrial Control System experience
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI Programming
- Experience troubleshooting Servo and VFD Systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work any shift, including off-shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting robotics
- Knowledge of CNC code
- Exposure to Siemens, Allen-Bradley Rockwell, and Fanuc PLC
- Knowledge of Industrial Vision Systems (Keyence, PhotoNeo, Matrox)
- Experience with Safety PLC
- Knowledge of GM Global Common Controls Architecture
- Knowledge of high voltage power distribution
