About the role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical problems in manufacturing operations
  • Design and modify electrical control circuits and programs
  • Perform engineering tasks on robotic systems using specialized software and hardware
  • Lead technical problem solving and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot Industrial Vision Systems such as Keyence, PhotoNeo, and Matrox
  • Support existing production through equipment malfunction diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Implement new technologies to improve manufacturing processes and support throughput improvement initiatives
  • Oversee project installations by contractors and plant electricians
  • Develop and plan electrical projects with a high degree of autonomy

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of Industrial Control System experience
  • Proficiency in PLC and HMI Programming
  • Experience troubleshooting Servo and VFD Systems
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work any shift, including off-shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience troubleshooting robotics
  • Knowledge of CNC code
  • Exposure to Siemens, Allen-Bradley Rockwell, and Fanuc PLC
  • Knowledge of Industrial Vision Systems (Keyence, PhotoNeo, Matrox)
  • Experience with Safety PLC
  • Knowledge of GM Global Common Controls Architecture
  • Knowledge of high voltage power distribution
