Met Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment following guidelines and procedures
• Assist in maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
• Maintain accurate records
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Operations on assigned tasks
• Prioritize work to meet deadlines and achieve duties in a timely manner
• Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and standing for long periods

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to complete PST/LAMT certification and Metcut (CCL) training
• Ability to work night shifts (07:00pm - 07:30am) on a 12-hour rotating 2-2-3 schedule
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays
• Manual dexterity and ability to stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Related laboratory experience
• Previous Metcut (CCL) and PST/LAMT certification
• Prior coating experience
• Experience with hazardous or chemical processes
• Experience in a production, manufacturing, or plant environment
• Knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings for sample preparation
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and office programs
