MES Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end MES solutions, including blueprints, system architectures, and data models, to support manufacturing operations and compliance.
• Develop Opcenter customizations such as services, rules, events, extensions, and UI components to meet shop-floor needs.
• Architect and implement integrations between Opcenter and enterprise systems like ERP (SAP), PLM, SCADA, and automation tools.
• Conduct fit-gap analyses to evaluate manufacturing requirements against standard Opcenter capabilities.
• Support MES deployment activities, including technical testing, validation, and GxP documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration and customization issues to maintain production stability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, IT, and OT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related technical field.
• 8-10 years of experience working with Siemens Opcenter or Camstar MES solutions.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing MES customizations and integrations.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Strong knowledge of integration technologies including REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and messaging frameworks.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Ability to work shifts from 1 PM to 10 PM IST.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Opcenter Execution (Discrete, Process, or Medical/Pharma).
• Experience working in regulated or validated environments (GxP, FDA, ISO).
• Familiarity with ERP, PLM, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
• Knowledge of CN MOM / CIO, Solution Configuration, Build with Designer, or Portal Studio.
• Exposure to ITIL processes and tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
