About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver world-class customer service by responding to Merchant inquiries and concerns
  • Build meaningful relationships through a consultative approach to understand Merchant needs
  • Provide first contact resolution and negotiate positive outcomes for both Merchants and American Express
  • Meet and exceed quality goals, compliance regulations, and productivity targets
  • Navigate computer systems and digital tools to assist Merchants with online and mobile platforms
  • Document essential information including payment details, address changes, and travel notifications
  • Adapt and re-prioritize tasks within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Requirements

  • Highly proficient in both Dutch and English (strong verbal and written business communication)
  • Ability to multitask and remain resilient in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • High attention to detail and the assertiveness to handle difficult conversations
  • A passion for delivering outstanding service and maintaining positivity in challenging situations
