About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver world-class customer service by responding to Merchant inquiries and concerns
- Build meaningful relationships through a consultative approach to understand Merchant needs
- Provide first contact resolution and negotiate positive outcomes for both Merchants and American Express
- Meet and exceed quality goals, compliance regulations, and productivity targets
- Navigate computer systems and digital tools to assist Merchants with online and mobile platforms
- Document essential information including payment details, address changes, and travel notifications
- Adapt and re-prioritize tasks within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Requirements
- Highly proficient in both Dutch and English (strong verbal and written business communication)
- Ability to multitask and remain resilient in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- High attention to detail and the assertiveness to handle difficult conversations
- A passion for delivering outstanding service and maintaining positivity in challenging situations
