Merchant and Network Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary owner of inbound payment network and acquiring bank escalations
• Investigate and remediate brand risk violations, restricted products, and account data compromise
• Prepare and deliver evidence packages and formal written responses to Visa, Mastercard, and Amex
• Manage acquirer-driven escalations involving MCC classification and merchant governance
• Conduct merchant due diligence and assess compliance posture
• Support network and acquiring bank audits end-to-end
• Identify recurring escalation patterns to contribute to scalable control improvements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk, or related financial services/payments functions
• Working knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, and/or Amex network rules
• Experience managing partner-facing escalations and formal communications
• Solid understanding of merchant acquiring risk, MCC classification, and surcharging compliance
• Familiarity with BSA/AML, sanctions, and financial crimes compliance frameworks
• Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple active escalations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as CAMS, CFE, CFCS, or CRCM
