Merchandising Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage ordering, receiving, and pricing of prescription and non-prescription items for multi-site outpatient pharmacies
• Perform merchandising, stocking, and cashier functions
• Organize revenue-generating promotions to drive customer interest
• Provide exemplary customer service to patients and clients
• Coordinate the return of stale-dated merchandise and other products
• Assist with packaging and sending prescription deliveries and reconciling invoices
• Perform technical functions including compression stockings fitting and sales coordination
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy personnel to support operational efficiency

Requirements

• Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
• One year of related merchandising experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations, practices, and regulations
• Knowledge of W.H.M.I.S. requirements
• Proficiency with MS Word and basic Excel
• Ability to stand for 95% of a shift and lift items greater than 15lbs
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of technical experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting
